We currently build in Geauga County and other neighboring communities near Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
Why should I purchase a new construction home as opposed to buying an existing home?
Building your own home allows you the opportunity to personalize your home by selecting the options that fit your needs. Building also ensures that your home has all the latest technologies and building techniques, making it as up-to-date as possible. Everything is new so there are no worries about replacing aging items.
We are interested in a custom home and not a standard floor plan from your selections. Can you help us with a custom design?
YES. Every home we build is considered “custom" whether it’s our plan or yours. Our designers can make unlimited changes to any stock plans. We can build from your plans, or start from scratch designing a custom home for you using your ideas, concept drawings, pictures, etc. Please contact us for design consultation.
Can we make changes after the home is started?
We understand that changes are part of the building process, and we have a very liberal policy allowing change orders after the home has begun. We do however ask our homebuyers to understand that change orders require lead time to design, price and process.
Who will help us make our selections?
We guide you through the selection process and you will meet with professional designers to help you make your selections.
What kind of warranty comes with the home?
We are confident in the quality of our homes and the integrity of our trades that build them. We want you to be secure in the knowledge that your home has been constructed with care. We provide the standard homebuilder warranty of all equipment, materials, and labor against defects for a period of one-year from the Transfer of Title. Any replacement or repair will be made without cost to the owner within the warranty period.
We don’t have land. Can you help us find a suitable building site?
Happy to help! Our agents are knowledgeable of available building lots in the area and can assist you with your selection.
Some builders require us to obtain our own permits and complete a lot of work on the house and building site ourselves. Will we be required to do this with Savage Homes?
No. We take care of everything from the permits to the final inspection.
How long will it take?
The construction time frame varies depending on your needs. The average time frame for construction in our area is approximately 8 to 9 months after breaking ground, but this can vary depending on the size of the home and weather conditions when starting the build.
Are we responsible for our own financing?
Typical customers will obtain a construction-to-permanent loan from their lender, which handles both the construction and permanent financing for new construction. We can assist you with referrals to local lenders who will explain their construction loan products.
